I am an engineer focused on machine learning systems, currently for Stripe's Capital lending product.

Currently, I am based in New York City, U.S.A. with my wife Joy Mao, but previously lived in San Francisco and Chicago.

I studied Mathematics, Economics and Computer Science at the University of Chicago.

I am interested in the history of technology, culture, progress studies, and urban planning.
